The Library was designed to be the hub of the school and the site location and building design responded to this requirement.
The Library entry relates to the main courtyard and central covered play space with an open glazed entry at the western end. Its design responds to views, the adjacent oak tree and more distant views over the oval.
A simple weatherboard structure with face brick walls to the lower level, the building’s form, scale and materials relate to the Gib Gate character. Dormer south-light windows give an accent to the roof form similar to other buildings while providing light and air to the building.
